What to Know as a Runner or Attendee …
Similar to hopping on an airplane, there are lots of rules and restrictions for all participants and attendees. Keep in mind, the course and Community Day is on an active runway — so your corporation is MUCH apperciated. A few items to remember prior to participating:

      • ALL race participants MUST produce a valid form of identification before they are allowed on the runway. Acceptable forms of identification must contain first name, last name, and photo (i.e. driver’s license, school ID). The information on the runner bib MUST MATCH the information on the ID.
      • Stollers are allowed on the course however pets of any kind are not permitted.
      • We ask for your help in making this a SAFE runway for airplanes landing immediately following the event by disposing cups at the water stations in the provided garbage cans. Please do not throw them in the grass or on the runway! Remember, this is an active runway!
      • No outside food or beverages are permitted on the course or on at the Community Day festivities on the runway.

With your help, we can continue to have unique events like these!

Chip Timing – Chronotrack Disposable Chip Tags!
This event features The Chronotrack Disposable Chip! The computer chip comes attached to a plastic strip that is already adhered to your bib #. No need to wait until race day to pick up your chip – it’s already on your bib when you go to a Pre-Registration/Packet Pick-Up event!

The chip tag should be peeled from the bib on race day and attached to your shoelaces – adhesive tabs and your shoelaces keep the tag in place. You must cross the special mats at the start and finish lines in order for your time to be recorded.

After crossing the finish line, the tag is your’s to dispose of or to keep as a souvenir of your experience at O’Hare 5K on the Runway.
