SPEAKER : Fr. Foeckler, Miles Jesu TOPIC : – Behold the Lamb of God / Late Christmas Party
Part I – Lecture by Fr. Foeckler – “Behold the Lamb of God – Jesus”
Father began
our special Christmas lecture by reminding us about the significance of the
phrase,“Behold the Lamb of God.”
Behold means “to look at “(“Ecce” in Latin)
Lambs are vulnerable, gentle, and
defenseless; they need a shepherd to protect them.
Jesus
represents a lamb. He symbolizes the characteristics of a lamb.
Jesus also
invites followers to get to learn more about him, similar to a lamb attracting
a person to pet it.
Jesus wants
us to come and see him.
According to Exodus 12:1-14 (Passover), when the Angel of Death appeared, lambs were sacrificed to protect
the villagers by spreading their blood on the doorpost to spare the firstborn
children in Egypt.
Jesus was the
Lamb of God when he sacrificed his life to save us from our sins on the cross.
“Behold the
Lamb of God” is said during mass right before communion; the body & blood represents
Jesus.
God is Almighty, love, merciful, powerful and our shining
light. He is our shepherd.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,
“Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away thesin

Presentation for Fr. Foeckler
Fr. Foeckler has
been teaching us with the love and passion of God every Motjari meeting.
We greatly
appreciate his presence and his teachings. Therefore, we prepared presentations
on what impacted us themost these past meetings to express our thankfulness
towards him.
Each person
chose one topic that impressed them the most, and gave lectures along with a
poster regarding what they
learned.
Each family
has prepared spiritual gifts and a monetary donation to repair the building
structure for Miles Jesu,
where Fr. Foeckler lives.

their Perfect Attendance:
Ester Kim, Luke Kim, Eric Kim, Jayne Kim,
Steve Bae & Paul Bae
* We would
also like to recognize sister Regina and sister Beleditha for
providing rides for Fr. Foeckler to our
monthly Motjari meetings.
* Every
Motjari student also received a Christmas gift; a candle and picture of Jesus.
These gifts will help us bond with
Jesus and allow us to interact with him more
often.
* Special
thanks to our sponsors, St. Paul Vocation Committee of our Motjari meetings for constantlyperforming the Rosary in prayer for us.
