Fr. Foeckler asked everyone a question.

“Who were at the upper room?” There were different names of the disciples mentioned from the students.  Fr. Foeckler said there were 11 disciples including doubting Thomas.

Then he briefly told us the story of the Road to Emmaus. (Luke 24: 13-45)

He then spent a few moments reflecting on verse 25

25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

It is written that Christ died and risen on the third day……you are the witness of these things. (Luke 24: 45)

Because Death is caused by sin, He was suppose to have suffered, died and resurrect from the

      death.

Because of the witness of the apostles, that witnessing keeps going on and on til these very

      day.

This is why our ancestors and korean martyrs wanted to keep their faith so that we can hear and pass it on to others.

Fr. Foeckler also spent time reading out aloud the list written by each students. Listen, Discern, Live ….. By prayer we can do these 3 things.

The greatest sacrifice today is to make time for God- St. Paul II
