   Evidence of Resurrection

 

As we reflect on the season of Easter, we cannot dismiss the fact that
Easter represents

‘Resurrection of Jesus”.  The
bible says that Jesus has risen from the death but how can we be SURE that
Jesus 

REALLY resurrected?

 

 – Jesus was wrapped with cloth in
100lb of myrrh (oil of incense- somewhat like Vaseline oil). It would have been 

   almost
impossible to take the cloth off without damaging it, however it was left by itself in the grave. 

 

    (John 20:7– as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth
was still lying in its place, separate 

     from  the linen.)

  Many have seen Jesus including Mary Magdalene,
Joanna, Mary the mother of James.

 

    (Matt 28:1– Mary Magdalene and the and
the other Mary went to look at the tomb. After the Resurrection, Jesus met 

    them. After he greeted them, they came to him,
clasped his feet and worshiped him.
Then Jesus said to them,

   ‘Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there  they
will see me.)

 

–  Before the Apostles
saw resurrected Jesus, they were in
hiding because they were afraid that they
will be killed for 

   being Jesus’ followers. Since the dead body (Jesus’ body)
was missing they
would have been the suspect for stealing

  Jesus’ corpse.

 

  (Matt 28: 11 –  While the women were on
their way, some of the guards went into the city and  reported to the
chief priests

   everything that had happened. When the chief priests had
met with the elders
and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a

   large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say,
‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were

  asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers
took the money and 

  did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among
the Jews to this very day.)

 

– After Apostles saw the
risen Jesus with their own eyes, felt his hands and feet, they believed.

  Thereafter, the apostles were not scared of
anything. Their hearts were on fire and began spreading the message. 

  Their testimonies can
be read in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

 

 (Acts
1:8 – ^…  and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”)

 

 

Eternal
life begins when you are baptized. 

When you die, only your physical body dies,
but your spiritual body lives eternally.

To
the Non Believers, it is BIRTH, LIFE, and DEATH.

To
us Believers, it is LIFE, DEATH and RESURRECTION.

Jesus says” I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME , THOU HE IS DEAD, 

 HE WILL LIVE “  –  John 11:25
